When preparing your application, it is recommended that you:
- carefully read the applicant information kit for the position, focusing on the key responsibilities and selection criteria for the position of interest;
- conduct some initial research on the agency by browsing the website and reading key resources such as the Annual Report and Corporate Plan;
- take the opportunity to speak to the Contact Officer to seek clarification or additional information on the agency and/or the position;
- decide whether the ABS is the type of place you would like to work and whether you possess the skills, experience, knowledge and ability required; and
- be aware of the closing date and how to lodge your application (see below). If, for any reason, you cannot submit your application by the closing date, you should ring the contact officer to see if a late application will be accepted.
What you need to include in your application
- A completed personal particulars form, including the contact details of two referees. The personal particulars form can be found under each job vacancy.
- A current 2-4 page resume outlining your relevant work experience, educational background and achievements.
